Groundbreaking for Expansion: September 24, 2000: Ground was broken today for the St Paul 2001: Building For Christ expansion project during St. Paul's 45th Anniversary celebration. Wearing white construction hard-hats, Current Pastor Otto Reinbacher, Pastor Emeritas Bruce Ophsal, and alumni Pastor Terry Herzberg turned up the first shovel full of dirt for the Church Expansion project. Pastor Opsahl even brought back the shovel used in the original groundbreaking ceremony of the church in 1955. In attendance at the ceremony were several of the original founding members of St. Paul Lutheran Church and over 175 church members. Also Bill Slack from Vincentsen Associates (Architect), and Mark Worthington and James Lennon from Wothington Associates (Building Contractor) helped in the ceremony . The St. Paul Praise Team provided musical accompaniment during the ceremony. Each person who attended the ceremony was provided with a St Paul 45th Anniversary Christmas Ornament. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support in this process. We truly felt God's presence and support as we have gone through the expansion process.
