We are just thrilled! And REALLY thank the Lord for this precious support.
Right now we are in Houston waiting for the rest of our medical team to fly in
and then we will take the 5:30P flight down to Guayaquil, Ecuador. And tomorrow
we will take a three hour trip to Manta which is on the coast.
Brooke, please tell your congregation how very touched that we are. And more
than anything we covet their prayers . . . As you know, we are not exactly the
'typical missionaries' . . . And yet we have no doubt that God has called us to
do this. May I give you the prayer requests for this medical mission (even
though I know you may be the only one aware with such a short notice. :-)
1) That our medical team would be united in the power of the Holy Spirit.
2) Health and safety for each person.
3) That we can get on our planned flights ( Doing that buddy pass thing, again)
4) That team members will adjust to the culture, especially in terms of 'time'
and
'accomplishment'.
5) Energy and stamina for Rosa and Pedro and their housekeeper Carmen that
attends to all our needs and James (Rosa and Pedro's son) as he attempts
to juggle family, business and us.
6) Protection for our families at home.
7) A reflection of Christ in our words, deeds, and actions.
8) The people we see will be blessed.
