The academic and Spiritual growth of each child is our top priority. We believe in close communication between parents, teachers, and administrators since the cooperative influence of home, school, and church can be invaluable to the education of the young child ProgramOur program is based upon Christian principles under the leadership of an excellent staff. Teachers are state certified and trained in religious education. Academic goals and objectives meet or exceed those found in public schools. Teachers work closely with parents through daily communication and parent-teacher conferences. Each year, parents are invited to an open house to meet with teachers and view accomplishments. Parents may volunteer to work with students, help in the classroom and or help teachers. St Paul Christian School Board will set the school calendar each year, with vacations and holidays following the Flemington-Raritan school district as closely as possible. Our program operates September to June. Regular Classroom hours are 8:50am to 3:10pm Monday through Friday for elementary grades and 9:00am to 3:00pm for the nursery school program. CurriculumOur Curriculum includes studies in Religion, Reading, Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Art, Physical Education, Computers, and Music. Our approach to teaching includes traditional methods as well as newer methods, such as whole language and the Chicago math curriculum. Hands-on math and science are seen as essential for young children ReligionReligion is taught during a specific period each day and is incorporated throughout all areas of the curriculum. We strive to emphasize Christian values when dealing with children and parents at all times. The children also attend weekly worship services called "Chapel" in the sanctuary. ComputersWe offer Children opportunities to gain working knowledge of computers. Through educational software students improve skills in areas such as math, language, reading and writing.
