Autumn 1954 - Pastor Opsahl receives a call from the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church -Missouri Synod January 3, 1955 - Pastor Opsahl, Vi and their Children arrive from Shelton, Nebraska and settle at 188 Main Street, Flemington. January - March 1955 - Pastor Opsahl conducts religious canvass of Flemington area. March 6, 1955 - First Service held at Grandview Grange Hall, and Pastor Opsahl is commissioned. Services conducted in Grange Hall until November 1960. March 13, 1955 - First Sunday School Class with 15 children enrolled. March 1955 - Choir is organized under Aida Smith. May 1955 - Ladies Guild is established. September 25, 1955 - St Paul Lutheran Church is chartered with 125 members. 1955 - Monthly fellowship begins within the congregation. February 1956 - 10 acres of land on Route 31 is purchased for the future church building for $20,000. 1956 - Participation begins with the Flemington Council of Churches 1957 - Participation in community Ecumenical Services begins. Congregation houses, feeds, and supports the Belznay family, Hungarian refugees. November 10, 1957 - Ground Breaking for the Parsonage. June 1, 1958 - Pastor Opsahl is installed as pastor of St Paul Lutheran Church Parsonage is dedicated. Cost of the Parsonage is $32,000. November 10, 1957 - Ground breaking for the church sanctuary, three offices, narthex and original fellowship hall. Architect is Jules Gregory and the builder is Soren Jacobsen. 1960 - Softball team is established. October 16, 1960 - Church Building and Education Unit are Established. Cost of the building is $125,000. November 20, 1960 - Reuter Organ and Chimes are dedicated.
