News From the Three-Year-Old Class...

It’s January and, in the 3’s, we were working on nursery rhymes and numbers. From Hickory Dickory Dock to Star Light, Star Bright and everything in between, we are enjoying singing and rhyming along with our favorite nursery rhymes. We are also work-ing on our numbers from one to ten. We are counting everything in sight. Just ask us to show off our skill for you at home! We are also learning to recognize our numbers and write them. Toward the end of the month, we got to show off our St. Paul pride by wearing our school colors blue and white, enjoying cozy pajama day and sporting crazy hair or

crazy hats. It’s fun to be in the 3’s in January!

News From the Four-Year-Old-Classes ...

Seems like just yesterday we were all taking a ride aboard The Polar Express! Hard to believe we are al-ready preparing for our second round of conferences! Be on the lookout for sign-up sheets soon!  The month of January zipped by as we reviewed the let-ters  L, M and N, honored the legacy of the great Dr. Martin Luther King and began reviewing numbers and strengthening our number sense. In February, we look ahead to Groundhog's Day (Will he see his shadow?), celebrating Valentine's Day and Presi-dent's Day and the letters O, P and Q. We look forward to seeing everyone at conferences!

Enrichment Class News!!!

January was another fun and exciting month for the Tuesday/Thursday fours! We had a chance to make snow (since we did not get our own), and try kiwi for the letter K. We explored our names and the lengths of our names. We also had fun with marshmallows and creating marshmallow art—the best part, of course, was eating some for snack! We did mitten math along with matching and sorting and learned how important they are in the cold.

Praying that our St. Paul family had a very happy, healthy & blessed Christmas season…
Welcome to 2017!
The Beginder-garten class “launched” right into the New Year with a study of the SUN, MOON and STARS. Learning about God’s awe-some creation on the 4th day, made study-ing the solar system and the space all around us extra exciting. We then took a “winter nap” and studied all about BEARS and the many other animals that like to HI-BERNATE. Getting ready for hibernation is busy work and our class learned many fun facts about the seasons leading up to the ‘sleeping months’. The hall is full of lots of color and fun crafts made during our NURSERY RYHME and FAIRY TALE units. Singing Nursery Rhymes and a re-enactment of “The Three Little Pigs” were definite favorites. We have been busy counting the days and look forward to celebrating the 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL . Here’s hoping Mr. GROUNDHOG doesn't see his SHADOW so we can welcome in an early spring!
